Serious crash blocks SH10

The Northland Rescue Helicopter has been called to a serious crash that has blocked State Highway 10.

Police said they were called about the crash involving a vehicle and a truck about 1km from the Matauri Bay turn off about 6.40am today.

At this stage one person has been taken to hospital in a critical condition.

Another person is currently trapped and in a serious condition.

Police said motorists could expect delays.
