Three vehicles have been involved in a crash near Pūrekireki Marae, south of Pirongia.

Emergency serivices were called to the scene just after 10.30am on Wednesday morning.

An eyewitness said there did not appear to be any significant injuries but the accident may cause some traffic hold-ups around State Highway 39.
