Police are looking for a man who threatened seven people with a weapon in Otumoetai.
At 8.50pm last night police responded to reports of a robbery at the Otumoetai Community Gardens near the intersection of Ngatai and Otumoetai Roads, Tauranga.
A group of people were approached by a man carryinga weapon who demanded they hand over any money or valuables, a Police Communications spokesperson said.
The attacker fled the scene by the time police arrived.
A dog unit searched for the offender but did not find him, she said.
