Ambulance staff are usually called to crashes but this morning they were involved in one.

A St John ambulance was one of three vehicles involved in a crash on State Highway 2 near Katikati today.

The crash happened just after 7am near Wright Road.

Head of Western Bay of Plenty road policing Senior Sergean Ian Campion said no one was injured in the collision, which involved the amulance. The crash was dealt with at the scene, he said.

The area was now cleared and traffic flowing as usual.
