Rolled logging truck blocks SH1

A logging truck has rolled and is blocking State Highway 1 in Northland.

Initial reports are the truck and trailer unit rolled just south of Pamapuria School, 8 km south of Kaitaia, about 10am today.

Police have diversions in place and heavy vehicle investigators are on their way to the scene.

The diversion for light vehicles is Takahue Rd onto Ruaroa Rd.

Police are requesting heavy vehicles travelling out of Kaitaia or to the Far North to use SH10, as the diversion is not suitable.
