Three gymnasts from the Far North representing Northland scored well at the Gymsports NZ Artistic National Competition in Napier from October 2-4.
Jessie Tunnicliffe (Kerikeri) was 8th on beam with 12.95 in Step 6 and Aimee Leaming (Kerikeri) was 12th on beam with 12.75 in Step 5 (noting girls havea start value of 15.00).
Representing the Kaitaia Gymnastics Club, Andrew Van der Linden competed in Level 4 and came 14th on parallel bars with 10.15 and 15th on pommel with 10.50 (where the boys have a start value of 12.00).
The gymnasts have returned to the north and are continuing to train and work on new skills for the coming year of competition.
