You can too

My name is Olivia Chuck. I am eight years old and go to Pamapuria School.

On November 13 I cut my hair off to send to Pantene Beautiful Lengths. They will turn my hair into a wig for someone who has lost their hair from cancer treatment. I have also collected sponsorship money that I am sending to CanTeen. So far I have raised more than $900.

I would like to say a very big thank you to everyone who has sponsored me: the staff of Pamapuria School, Kaitaia College, Russell Manning and Associates, and my family and friends. Thank you to all the students and teachers at Pamapuria who supported me when I had my hair cut. And a very special thank you to Rachael and Tawhina from Hair In Kaitaia, who were very generous with their time and sponsorship.

They did a really great job of my haircut - I love my new short hair.

Anyone who has a ponytail of more than 20cm of undyed hair can donate it to Pantene Beautiful Lengths (www.lgfb.co.nz) or talk to Sandra Shackleton at the chemist.
