ALRIGHT! Nat Blud broke several records including his own at the Kaitaia College 2016 swimming championships last Thursday.

Blud swam 16.52 seconds in the senior boys' one length freestyle to break the record of 16.77s set by Brett Shalders last century. Blud also broke his own record of 46.81s in the senior boys' two lengths backstroke, swimming it in 46.53s on the day.

The other record broken on the day was by Tashana Pure who swam 20.14 in the girls' open one length butterfly, beating her 2015 record of 20.19s.

The event was held in benign mid summer weather at the town pools, where one commentator noted there were some outstanding performances mixed with many not so outstanding ones.
