Bream Bay swimmers have continued performing at the State New Zealand Division 2 swimming competition in Invercargill, and as a result have extended their lead in the team's competition.
Northland's Kieran Swords added another gold to his growing medal tally, having seven in total, as the Bream Bay swim teamrecorded six gold medals from the third day of racing.
Medals went to Swords, 13-year-old Turanga Morgan-Edmonds, Dylan Sims, Emma Wickham and Elijah Purnell.
Overall Bream Bay lead the competition on 910 points, ahead of Jasi Swim Club (Christchurch) on 821, Wharenui (Christchurch) 510, Ace (Hamilton) 472 and North Canterbury 451.
On day two, four boys each won double gold medals with Levin's Shawn O'Hara, 13, Campbell Kershaw, 15 (North Canterbury), Josh Kemp, 16 (Tawa) and Ben McMahon, 14 (Neptune) each won two gold medals today.
All won the 200m individual medley finals, Kemp and McMahon the 100m backstroke and Kershaw the 200m freestyle.
