Northland kids will get the chance to see their heroes in person when the Blues roll into Whangarei on Monday. The franchise will host a Bluebeard Promotional Day, featuring the majority of their squad visiting two venues in Whangarei. First up is the Maunu Health Camp, in the morning, where they willplay the camp's kids in a game of "rippa rugby" before they head to Kensington Park for a larger promotion with a number of primary school in the area participating in the afternoon. Maunu Health camp teacher Bill Mariner said the camp's staff were pleasantly surprised to get a call from a Blue's official recently. "The Blues somehow found out that Justin Collins and Bronson Murray had come up to visit a couple of years ago and they rang me up out of the blue and thought it would be a good idea if the whole team came along this time," he said. Mariner said the kids were looking forward to meeting the players and having lunch with them in what should be a memorable day for everyone.
