Tikipunga's men's premier football side will have the tough task of trying penetrate the tight defence of Kerikeri in their top of the table clash tomorrow in Kerikeri.
Only one point separates the two teams, with Kerikeri leading after having played two games less than last year's third-placed team.
Tikipungashould give Kerikeri a decent workout as they boast the best attacking record of the division after having scored 20 goals from the first six matches, compared to Kerikeri's 10 from four.
Although, Kerikeri hold the best defensive record after conceding just two goals, three less than Tikipunga and Kamo who have the next best record with five.
The sides have met once already this season with Kerikeri coming away with the win 1-0 in week two. However, with both sides coming off wins it is shaping up to be a tight affair.
Last week Kerikeri beat last week's second-placed team Kamo 1-0, while Tikipunga romped home over bottom placed Bream Bay 9-1.
In other men's premier football this weekend, Bream Bay hosts Central Brown tonight with Central looking to secure the win and have other results go their way to move into third-place overall with eight weeks remaining. Tomorrow also sees Kamo host Madhatters.
Meanwhile, in the women's premier division this Sunday, all games start at 1pm, the Bream Bay Felines host Central Brown. The Bay Cosmos take on Hora Hora at Bay of Islands College, Kerikeri Siteworx play Kerikeri High School at Baysport Waipapa. In Whangarei, FC Whangarei meet Kamo at Morningside Park.
