Rugby: Shock as Hora Hora decimate Kamo

Hora Hora can lay claim to producing the most surprising result in the Bayleys Southern Districts Premier club rugby competition after annihilating Kamo 60-6.

When asked "where did that come from?", Hora Hora coach Mark Wati calmly said: "We've been building the last couple of weeks now."

After a tight win last week against Mid Northern, Wati commented how his side seemed to front up for Saturday's clash.

"The whole team has clicked this week," Wati said. "It was the first time we've probably had our full strength team. Warren Dunn is back playing 80 minutes, [and] just the whole week's training was good [including] warm up where everyone was keen for it [the win]."

Meanwhile, new Northland ITM Cup signing Ben Seymour turned out for the Western Sharks after having only been in Northland for a week.

Western Sharks coach Craig Williamson was impressed with Seymour's approach to the game, noting his organisation and professionalism.

"You can tell he's the next step up," Williamson said after Seymour scored all of his side's points in their 24-13 loss to Old Boys Marist.

"He's got the organisation in the backline, and the passes putting you in the space [and] he's got a good punt on him.

"He's pretty professional too, [but], that's what you get at that next level.

"We've got good backs now but the forwards aren't really producing, it used to be the other way around but it has taken a while to get the backs you want up to it."
