"It was something I thought I could be proud of, and I am proud of it, and it's just awesome to be part of the team and playing for Northland."
In the 2014 Taniwha team Dunn is the oldest player on the books at 29, something the Hora Hora premiership winner also laughs at.
"I couldn't believe it, I was shocked when I found out [Dunn was the oldest]. The boys sort of have a mutual respect for you being the oldest, obviously not the most experienced though."
Dunn believes tonight's game against Hawke's Bay should be a good one and they know what they need to do to win.
"The boys know where we're going wrong and that Wellington game things just came together for us. We know what we need to do but we've got to go out and do it.
"With [it being Jack Ram's] blazer game too, I think it adds a bit of confidence going into the game."
