Kamo first-five Tyler Lansdowne marked his return from injury with a 22 point haul as part of his side's 57-22 win over the Western Sharks in the Bayleys Southern Districts Premier Competition.
Assisting the 20-year-old Lansdowne on the scorer's sheet was lock Reuben Wright who crossed the line three timesduring the nine tries to three win.
Kamo coach John Miller said it was a pleasure to watch with plenty of entertaining attacking football taking place.
"The Western Sharks were not a bad side, but they didn't really get a look in," commented Miller. "Tyler Lansdowne made a big difference running at the line and feeding his outside backs.
"A big positive for us was on attack our backs consistently were going over the gain line, especially off the first phase, which gave us a nice little platform to go from."
Miller added that Wright's performance, fresh from being named in the Northland wider training squad last week, was a nice way for him to come back his best after he also was coming back from injury.
"Not only did he score three tries, he was all over the field and getting back to his best after his injury," Miller said.
He added that while it was a relatively comprehensive win, there were still aspects to Kamo's game which he would like worked on.
Meanwhile in other premier matches, Waipu secured a second win in a row after beating Otamatea 27-10 at home.
Waipu's bonus point win, their second in two weeks, means they have moved a place up the table to sit third from the bottom, just one below the Western Sharks.
Last week Waipu secured their first win since being elevated to the premier rugby competition in Northland, a 27-25 win over Hikurangi.
