Wellsford can give themselves the chance to take third next week, however a defeat will mean they will be in a two-way battle for fourth with either Otamatea or Western Sharks.
Barring it ending in a draw, the Otamatea-Western Sharks fixture will knock the loser out of contention for the finals, while putting the winner potentially into fourth. Both sides play teams out of playoff contention in the final round, so a win this week will give them the best chance of sneaking into the fourth spot.
Of course if Wellsford win this week, it makes prospects that much tougher for either Otamatea or Western Sharks.
In other fixtures, OBM take on Kamo, Hikurangi travel to Mid Western and Mid Northern will do battle with Hora Hora.
Going into the final regular-season round of the Bay of Islands Senior competition, Moerewa, Kerikeri, Ohaeawai and Kawakawa have booked their tickets to the finals.
Kawakawa are guaranteed fourth and Ohaewai have locked-in third, but a boilover in Moerewa's and Kerikeri's games could bring change at the top of the ladder as only one point separates them.
Moerewa travel to sixth-placed Kaikohe while Kerikeri give up home advantage to Otiria.
The other fixtures see Ohaeawai at home against Kaeo and Kawakawa heading to Okaihau.
Mangonui Seniors also have their final round-robin matches this week.
After going down to Eastern in the penultimate round, Kaitaia will have to do it tough to sneak into the playoffs. A bonus-point win by more than seven points against Panguru will give them the fourth spot.
Te Rarawa have third position locked, unless they suffer a demolition job from cellar-dwellers Aupouri and Panguru get a big bonus-point win.
In the other game, Eastern take on Natives while top side Awanui have the bye.
