Three teams - the Air Force, Navy and Army - battled for honours at Easter weekend. Jack Studd, the Air Force leader, led by example coming in with an unbeatable 47 stableford points. This ensured the Air Force won the trophy with an average of 40.1 stablefords. The Army came second with 36 and the Navy came third on 34.2 points.
Results for the Haggle saw Jack Studd ahead of the competition on 47 points. Tied for second place on 43 points were Tony Drader, Nigel Turner and Shane Murray (three Air Force players in the top four). Close behind on 42 were Les Rangihuna and Robyn Cook, 41 for Brian James and Arthur Beren with 40 stablefords. Twos: T Smith, J Studd, R Birt and T Stowers.
