Bowls New Zealand have finalised the conditions of play for the Interclub 7s competition for 2017-18.

A new clause has been added restricting NZ gold and silver star holders who have won New Zealand events in the past 10 years from playing in the Second Division of this competition.

If a club wishes to apply for dispensation for a player they must apply to Bowls NZ for an exemption on or before September 30.

Check the Bowls NZ website for further details.

Conditions of play for this event have been unchanged and centres are expected to determine which division teams will play in for the event. Clubs may also enter more than one team in each division.

Auckland and North Harbour Centres are holding major singles events for women and men on September 23/24. Entries close September 6.

Check their websites for entry details.

Northland Centre has its official opening for the new season on Sunday, September 3 at 1.30pm.

Clubs please ensure you have your representatives/s attending and notify the centre office of numbers attending for catering purposes.

The Centre pennants for men and women will be on September 16-17.

Entry is $80 per team of four players and entries on the prescribed form should be forwarded to the centre office.

Clubs may enter as many teams as they wish in each competition.

Get the "cobwebs" out of your system by having a go in this event. Register your interest with your club now.

The first Open Centre event for the season will be the Mixed 2 x 4 x 2 Pairs on the weekend of September 30 and October 1.

Teams must be made up of Northland registered players and you may be from different clubs in the Centre.
