Offsetting a reduced number of Northlanders in the Northern Knights contracted group of players, some of Northland's top cricketers have gained selection into Northern Districts representative squads and academies.

Cody Andrews (Maungakaramea), Kurtley Watson and Nick Stobart, both of Whangarei Boys' High School, have been selected in the Northern Districts Fast Bowling Academy.

Adding to Boys' High's success is Dave Armitt, who has been included in the under-19 preliminary squad, along with Watson and Stobart.

Chamodh Peiris, Lewie Miller, Dante Mitchell (all of Boys' High), Hamish Kidd (Northern Wairoa), and Van Grooby (Kaipara Flats) have also been selected in the Northern Districts Junior Secondary Boys' squad.

Adding to the above successes, Joseph Yovich (City), Andrews, Henry Cooper (Onerahi), Ben Hyde (Kamo) and Rory Christopherson (Kaipara Flats) have spent the winter training as part of Northern Districts Training programmes.
