Northern gloveman still on top

Kruger van Wyk holds the Central Districts record for dismissals by a wicketkeeper in a first-class match, after his 10 in the win over Otago this week. But the New Zealand record sits with Northern Districts' Peter McGlashan. He snared 12 against CD at Whangarei in the 2009-10 season - and took 10 against Auckland in the 2010-11 summer.

Best of the other provinces? Lee Germon's nine top the Canterbury list, vs ND at Christchurch in 1992-93; Chris Nevin took 10 for Wellington against Otago at Carisbrook in 1995-96; for Otago, Gareth Hopkins and Derek de Boorder took 10 apiece in 2004-05 and 2009-10 respectively against Canterbury and Wellington; while there are five instances of Auckland glovemen taking eight, including Hopkins (twice), Ian Smith, Lou Vincent and Len Kent in 1944-45.
