Last weekend's loss will fuel the fire in the North Force players' bellies as they face the tough task of travelling to Tauranga and knocking over the NRFL Division Two table toppers tomorrow.
Coach Russell Baddeley said the team looked forward to the challenge ahead, complementing Tauranga on their footballingstyle.
"I think we can go there and rattle their cage," Baddeley commented. "Tauranga are a good footballing side, they have a really nice pitch and they'll let you play football. And they will play football themselves."
He added that after last week's 2-1 loss to Waiuku, on a less-than-ideal pitch, his side was still upbeat about their chances this weekend.
"There is a real confidence in the vans coming home that we can go there and rattle their cage."
North Force are certainly capable of claiming the win, after beating Tauranga this season in Kamo.
Tauranga did not manage to overcome the energy-sapping nature of the journey in the corresponding fixture early this season, going down 2-1 for one of their only two defeats of the campaign.
North Force will hope to fare better and it's important they do as, with Waiuku and Papakura playing each other, a win would see them jump a spot on the ladder.
