Teams from all grades battled out a promotion-relegation round at Whangarei Netball Centre on Saturday, fighting to stay in or move up a division.
In the contest over premier grade spots, Manawanui Old Girls comfortably won both their games, first against Flames Onerahi 2, 35-24, then Good Ground Fideliter 1, 38-17.
Judith Campbell and Gail Shepherd on attack combined and shot well and the mother-daughter combination of Ravina Otene and Rhiannon Reti on defence was very effective. This means Manawanui are placed seventh heading into championship round of the premier competition, starting
on Friday. Fideliter 1 retained their spot in the top grade by winning their game against Wahine Toa 1, 29-21, but are now placed eighth while Onerahi 2 drop to premier reserve grade with their 33-27 win over Wahine Toa 1.
Changes to premier reserve were also an outcome of promotion relegation games, with Flames Onerahi 3 coming from second place in the A1 grade to be placed fifth in premier reserve after wins against Hora Hora 1, 23-15, and a 25-20 win over Kamo High School 1. Fideliter 3 also replace Kamo High School in premier reserve grade with a 17-14 victory against them. Both Hora Hora 1 and Kamo High School 1 will drop to the A1 grade placed No 1 and 2 respectively.

The championship round starts on Friday for the premier grade and on Saturday for all other grades.
Premier Grade Rankings:
Championship Round: 1 Onerahi 1, 2 - Marist Old Girls, 3 - WGHS 1, 4 - Whangarei Old Boys 1, 5 - Takahiwai 1, 6 - Fideliter 2, 7 - Manawanui Old Girls, 8 - Fideliter 1.
Premier Reserve Grade Rankings
Championship Round: 1 - Onerahi 2, 2 - Wahine Toa 1, 3 - Bream Bay Waipu, 4 - Marist Social, 5 - Onerahi 3, 6 - Fideliter 3.
