Kamo women's side will be looking to replicate the killer form they have had in recent weeks tomorrow when they face Hibiscus Coast in Kamo at 2.30pm in the final of the Northern Federation's top knockout trophy.
Kamo's opposition are only fancied because they play a league above them, butKamo will be looking to emulate what other Northland women's teams have already done in winning the Women's Federation One Cup.
Three-time winners FC Whangarei won it back-to-back in 2002 and 2003 and again in 2005, followed by North Force in 2006.
Giant-killers Kamo reached the final this year after beating Conference side East Coast Bays 1-0 away followed by a 2-1 home win over Takapuna in the quarter-finals. A 1-0 semifinal away win over Forrest Hill Reserves clinched their final spot.
Hibiscus Coast received a first-round bye then eliminated North Force 4-0 at home in the quarters. They sealed their place in the final with a 2-0 away victory over fellow Conference side Birkenhead United.
While Kamo are playing Hibiscus, the FC Whangarei women's team will be in Auckland playing in the NFF first/second Divisions Cup Final on the brand new QBE North Harbour Stadium Domain artificial pitch.
FC will be looking to go one better than last season when they lost 3-2 in the final against Glen Eden United, who this season are contesting the Federation One Plate Final against Glenfield Reserves.
The Cup Final is preceded by North Force playing Ellerslie at 12.30pm in the Women's Conference League game to provide an afternoon of top women's football in Whangarei.
