Whangarei Boys' High School has once again proved its golfing prowess at the World School's Golf Challenge in Thailand, defending their teams' gross section.
However, Boys' High's win was a close one after being tied with South Africa's Hilton College. Boys' High's number one team was eventually crowned the winnersafter a countback of the fourth round, where they had a score of 222 compared to Hilton College's 223.
But, Boys' High's success in the gross section doesn't stop there. Their number two team finished in fifth place overall.
In the net section, the number two team finished fourth while the number one team finished in eighth.
The net section was won by Dunedin's John McGlashan College, the only other New Zealand school at the competition.
Backing up the strong team performances were good individual results, with New Zealand representative Kadin Neho leading the Boys' High golfers alongside Braden Keown, finishing in third and fourth place respectively in the 0-4 handicap division. Julian Fowler (17th), Sam Purdie (18th), Ben Bowmar (25th), and Ben Kennedy (28th) also competed in the 0-4 division.
In the 5-7 handicap division, Jackson Arkle was fourth while in the 8-14 division Jahkobi Harris came in seventh.
