North Force may have missed out on promotion this season, unlike their Forrest Hill opposition, but they plan on repaying their fans for their support at 12.30pm in Kamo today.
The Northland team sit fifth going into today's match - their last of the season - and coach Russell Baddeleysaid it was a fitting opportunity to thank the fans.
"Our home support throughout this season has been just fabulous," Baddeley said, adding that opposition coaches have also noted the home support North Force gets. "Already we look forward to next season and having a real push for promotion.
"As the season closes, we look back and we are disappointed that after a good first round we were not able to stay in the promotion race."
However, the team had still achieved some of their goals this year, Baddeley said.
At the start of the season, North Force set out to make themselves competitive again, develop young players, build their image, and lift the level of support for the team.
"On this front [home support] I might be a little biased but we have had great crowds and amazing home support."
One thing which may hinder North Force today is their form of late, after last week just holding on for a 2-all draw with Albany United in Auckland.
