CITY beat Kamo by 31 runs to win the Whimp Shield in Whangarei A grade junior cricket last weekend.
Ben Smith was the star for City with both bat and ball. He scored 20 runs to set City up for a respectable 97 and then went on to take three wickets
for a miserly 10 runs.
Charl Compaan and Max Trimble both reached double figures for City while Max Davis and Sam Clotworthy took two wickets each.
Kamo's Jacob Cherrington made a grand stand, scoring 30, but the side fell short totalling 76. Results. _
