Can you help?

The New Zealand Blind Bowling Association is seeking support from bowling clubs throughout the country to help them send The Blind Jacks to the 2013 World Blind Bowls Championships to be held in Worthington, England. They hope to send eight blind bowlers, eight directors and two team management personnel.

The cost of this venture is expected to be about $150,000 and all personnel travelling are expected to make a significant personal contribution to this cost.

Any donations can be sent via the www.givealittle.co.nz/NZBLBA website or by cheque to PO Box 35-779, Browns Bay. 0753.

The Centre Junior Pairs for men and women are to be held next weekend at the Ruawai and Arapohue Clubs. Entries close today. You still have time to get an entry!

The next two months are a very busy time for bowlers with the Chartered Clubs women's tournament being held in Wanganui starting on November 5 and the NZ Trust Open being held in Auckland on November 8. Many teams and individual players from our centre are taking part in these events.

These competitions will be followed by the Centre Open Fours and centre Open Pairs competitions.
