The gravity defying stars of Nitro Circus will be in Whangarei next month.

The gravity defying stars of Nitro Circus will be in Whangarei next month.

Adrenalin junkies are snapping up tickets for Nitro Circus' first visit to Whangarei in January, with only a third of the 12,000 available tickets left.

But those fearing they may miss out because their spare money is tied up on buying for Christmas need not despair - we've got two family VIP passes to give away today.

The world's greatest action sports event, Nitro Circus, is hitting New Zealand shores next year, and on January 29 Whangarei will host the 246th showing of the global phenomenon that has sold more than three million tickets across 26 countries.

The highly anticipated 2017 New Zealand tour is already aiming to smash records and reach new death-defying heights, with the Whangarei show at Toll Stadium heading for a sell out.

Already almost 8000 tickets have sold for the high-octane show that will see 12 semi-trailers clocking up more than 4650 kilometres across the country.

Nitro Circus has 50 crew members who will set up the show along with about 50 local volunteers at each of the 15 shows.

Given the nature of the event two ambulances will be on standby at each venue - just in case - and the organisers say there will be 10 new, never-seen-before stunts to debut on the tour.

Twenty-five athletes will show off their death-defying feats, including Kiwi stars BMX rider Jed "The Warrior" Mildon, and on FMX Levi Sherwood and Nick Franklin.

Mildon achieved the world's first quadruple backflip on a BMX which has more than 12 million views on YouTube.

Audiences will also see a host of outrageous new contraptions take flight off Nitro Circus Live's 40-foot Giganta Ramp such as trikes, a tall bike, a kayak, a whiskey barrel and more.

The exciting new additions will ensure jaw-dropping stunts never seen before in New Zealand, with the daredevils also opening the door for more mayhem and possible mishaps.

The two VIP Nitro Circus family passes we are giving away include four tickets.
To enter answer this simple question:
