The Whangārei 2degrees shop on James St was burgled overnight in what police believe to be a ram raid.

Security guards were seen at the scene around 8am. A large pane of glass at the front of the store was smashed to pieces.

Police confirmed officers are investigating the burglary and enquiries are ongoing to determine what was taken and who is responsible.

“Around 1.44am, police responded to reports of the burglary on James Street, where it is understood a vehicle was used to gain entry,” a police spokesperson said.

Anyone with information was asked to contact police on 105 or online using Update My Report, referencing file number 230327/1969.
