A bunch of Northlanders have raised more than $10,000 for charity after dashing up 1103 stairs in Auckland in SkyCity's Corporate Sky Tower Stair Challenge.
A team of five from Regent Countdown and Craig Dackers, owner of Signature Homes Whangarei, took part in the event on Friday.
Mr Dackers raised$5010 for the cause -- Leukaemia and Blood Cancer NZ -- the second highest total by an individual in the challenge. His team raised $9636, the third highest team total.
The team from Regent Countdown -- Gladys Himiona, Victoria Martin, Lui Poutai, David Mohi and Ahdeep Singh -- raised $5230 and the entire challenge has raised more than $343,000.
Mr Dackers was hoping to complete the challenge in 15-20 minutes, but managed it in 11m 22sec.
