Police have arrested three men for suspected armed robbery.

Police have arrested three men for suspected armed robbery.

Three arrests have been made in relation to a robbery at a dairy in Whangarei.

Police said just before 5pm last Sunday week, three men wearing hooded sweatshirts entered the One Tree Point Store in Whangarei and allegedly threatened the owners.

They left with cigarettes, tobacco products and food.

On Friday police executed a number of search warrants in the Whangarei area in relation to Operation Riptide and arrested two men aged 28 and 39. They appeared in Whangarei District Court on Saturday and police opposed bail.

A 22-year-old man has also been arrested in relation to the robbery. He appeared at the Waitakere District Court on Saturday.
