There is always plenty to entertain the Northland Field Days, but rides on the Clydesdale wagon are always popular. The field days finish at Dargaville Showground today.

Thousands are expected to flock to today's last day of the Northland Field Days, in Dargaville.

The field days, which started on Thursday, finish today at he Dargaville showgrounds at the corner of Awakino Point East Rd and State Highway 14, Dargaville.

It's the largest gathering of farm machinery equipment and activity in Northland - and one of the largest in the country - and thousands have gone through the gates over the first two days.

The event has the latest farming equipment and technology as well as farming displays and several hundred stalls selling related equipment and information as well as demonstrations of skill and expertise.

The gates open today from 9am to 3.30pm, with gates closing to general public coming to the event at 2.30pm.
