Responders are asked what age group they, or their children belong too.
They are asked to rank the top five things they, or their children, like to do in a playground from a list including climbing, sliding, swinging, jumping, imaginative play, chatting and sitting quietly.
They are also asked to rank the type of play in order of priority from adventure, social, vibrant, exploratory, sustainable and iconic.
Then they get the chance to describe their perfect playground.
The 2019/20 financial year is the construction year for both playgrounds.
So far the council has received over 350 responses. It has also been sent to local schools. The survey closes on March 10.
The council will also have a stand at the children's day event at The Pulse on Sunday to gather more feedback.
