Right wing Malachi Te-Rore King picked up a brace of tries while centre Leon Harris and halfback Tane Mackie also crossed the line in the bonus point victory.
This was a great start for the side after coach Harry Darkins set their expectations high.
"The competition is very strong with several teams capable of taking out the competition," he said.
"Our goal is simple, If we play to our potential we know we can go deep in this competition. The squad have the self-belief that we can challenge for the title.
"There is a lot of competition for starting positions which only adds value within the squad. The players know that there is someone keeping them honest."
WBHS are on the road for their next match as they take on Rangitoto College, who got their season started with a 15-9 loss at the hands of Westlake Boys' High School.
