A transtasman rivalry is growing between Canberra's Woden Rams and Northland's Otaua and Otaika junior league teams, with exchange matches between the sides taking place recently for the third successive year.
While Otaua managed to keep the Rams at bay, 28-18, this year, Otaika didn't fare so well, going down40-16 to the visiting side.
Northern Advocate photographer Michael Cunningham went along to Fishbone Park to capture the Rams in action against the Otaika U-16s.
