State Highway 12 in Northland is now open following a truck crash this morning.

A rolled truck blocked SH12 near Taheke, between Kaikohe and Waima.

Police said the single-vehicle crash was reported after 11am.

No injuries were reported and motorists were advised to seek alternative routes. The crash was just west of Puha Rd.

A motorist who was travelling from Opononi to Waitangi said they were stuck on the Waima side of the Taheke Bridge.

They had been waiting for over an hour for the traffic to clear.

It appeared a truck had rolled into a ditch just down from Puha Rd, they said.
