Road earlier closed during crash on busy road re-opened

Whangārei Heads Rd at Tamaterau which was earlier closed due to a crash has now re-opened.

Police earlier advised motorists travelling along Whangārei Heads Rd to use alternative routes and expect delays after receiving a single-vehicle crash about 3.50pm.

Initial indications suggested one person received serious injuries.

The road was re-opened about 5.15pm
