Northland horse trainers Dean and Donna Logan are set to have horses racing in Boxing Day's races at Ellerslie.
Logan Racing has three-year-old fillies Rising Romance, by Ekraar, and Telepathic, by Mossman, entered for both the group two Cambridge Stud Eight Earat Classic and the group two Lindauer Great NorthernGuineas.
A decision will be made on the day as to which race each of the fillies will run in while a jockey has yet to be declared for either at this stage.
Meanwhile, in other Logan Racing news, Habibi's little half-sister has been given Christmas off after making pleasing progress through her first preparation. The two-year-old daughter of Thewayyouare has been to two trials this month and finished third in the latest of them over 800 metres at Te Aroha.
"She's trialled up really nicely and she's in the paddock now," co-trainer Donna Logan said. "She's not a ready-made 2-year-old and I know the family well enough to say that. Hopefully, a bit later on she'll head in the same direction as her half-sister."
Habibi trialled as a juvenile before making a winning debut in the spring and then moved smoothly through to success in the Group 1 New Zealand Derby before her subsequent sale to America.
