The very vintage Hannah Gough from Kamo has rolled her way into the hearts of pin up fans across New Zealand, winning the People's Choice award at the recent Very Vintage Day Out in Auckland.
The only Northland contestant, the model and preschool teacher known as Miss Glamour La Rueranked highest in the 'Miss Publicity' category of Miss Pin Up New Zealand.
Miss Gough, one of just 10 finalists at the final on April 11, was thrilled that she topped the public online vote in the contest, which ran over a number of weeks.
At the Auckland finals, she faced catwalk tasks and a Q&A session, as well as a talent contest which saw the Kamo skater roll onto the stage and dance on skates.
The model, who plays roller derby with the Northland Nightmares and is a novice powerlifter, had also suffered a leg injury during a roller derby game in Auckland.
She describes herself as an advocate for positive body image, and not just for curvy girls.
"I did have a small panic moment just before going out in my swimsuit but the crowd's response was crazy and I even got some military salutes from a couple of gentlemen dressed up and standing by the bar," she said.
She said the highlight of the event was when she cried with a fan.
"One lady cried when she told me about my journey to self discovery and how my story about learning to love my body had inspired her ... it made her want to start to tackle some body demons she has suppressed for years."
