Colourful quilts with exquisite patterns have been admired over the weekend.

The Whangarei Patchworkers and Quilters Club's Quilt and Textile Art Extravaganza was held at Forum North between Friday and yesterday.

More than 100 quilts were displayed at the biennial event, which is being held just months before the club's 31st birthday.

Photographer Tania Whyte captured all colour.
