Since this photo was taken Tony Britton has lost his left eye.
Police have released a photo of the Northland man at the centre of a search involving the armed offenders squad, police helicopter and a police dog.
Tony Britton is still on the run after the extensive search failed to find him in bush at a rural property 30km north-east of
Whangarei last Friday. The 47-year-old has a warrant out for his arrest in relation to manufacturing methamphetamine as part of the police Operation Atlas.
Britton was spotted about 3pm on Friday and cordons were put in place around roads near Puhipuhi and Old Russell Rd.
Despite the lengthy search he remains on the run. However, a 45-year-old woman was arrested during the search and has been remanded in custody to appear again on January 5. Katrina Ann Britton was arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possessing precursor equipment and participating in an organised criminal group.
