Two people arrested during a police bust on the Daktory Whangarei cannabis club have been further remanded in custody for bail applications next week.

Brian Thomas Borland, 60, and Sarah Gwenneth Gillgren, 28, are facing a number of drugs charges after their arrest on Wednesday.

Borland has been charged with two counts of selling cannabis, and one each of selling cannabis oil; theft of electricity; permitting premises to be used for committing a crime.

Gillgren has been charged with counts selling cannabis; selling cannabis oil and the pair are jointly charged with cultivating cannabis.

No plea was taken when Gillgren appeared before two JPs in the Whangarei District Court this morning while Borland's attendance was excused.

Gillgren will re-appear before a judge on Monday.

Her bail application is not opposed by police while Borland will re-appear via audio visual link on Wednesday.

A group of about 20 supporters, most of them saying they were Daktory members, were in court during her appearance this morning.
