A wall stopped a car flipping sideways into a neighbouring house after plunging forward off a driveway in Whangārei.

The car's occupant received slight injuries when the vehicle dropped on to a lower-sited property on Louisa Lane in Kamo, around 3.30pm yesterday.

It was expected a crane would be needed to lift the car out of the precarious situation it landed in.
