Onerahi-Central Reserves and City Guvnors have gone through the latest two rounds of Twenty20 Reserve Grade unbeaten.
City Guvnors started off the day with a classic T20 encounter against Whangarei Boys' High School Second XI, overhauling their total of 95/5 with just one ball to spare with Bruce Kessell top-scoringwith 30 in the successful chase.
Their second win saw them chase down a bigger total of 124/5 after Kamo High School's Mark Turton's good innings of 73.
After the first match however, City were in no mood to dally, with Richard Johnson (27) and Andrew Golightly (25) setting up the win and Kaine Fannin completing it with 50 not out off just 23 balls.
Onerahi-Central beat Bream Bay by 11 runs in their first match with Ryan Woodman setting up the win with a flamboyant half century.
The second victory over Whangarei Boys' High School was a more emphatic five wicket win with an outstanding five wicket bag for quick Adam Silver, who gave up just eight runs in his four overs.
Kerikeri High School also had two wins after a nervous start to the competition last week with a good win over Kamo High School, chasing down 95 in 12 overs after Max Hart's leg spin had restricted Kamo's scoring.
Their second win came when Kamo Reserves defaulted the afternoon's match.
