A winter bowls interclub 7's competition is being held in Northland.
Sevens competition
Northland Centre has introduced a winter bowls interclub sevens competition to be held on Saturday, June 15 and Saturday, June 29.
Three divisions will be played - men, women and mixed, with play in singles, pairs and fours. Entries, at $100 a team, will close on June 6.
Prizegiving
The centre annual prizegiving and annual awards night will be held on Saturday, May 25, at the Kamo Club in Grant St, Kamo. The event starts at 6:30pm, tickets for which are $30 and include dinner.
Transport will be available by booking with the Kamo Club.
AGM
The centre annual general meeting will be held at Bowls Whangārei on Sunday, June 23, at 2pm. The focus will be on potential candidates for management and selectors for representative teams and high performance panel.
The summer season of bowls for the centre has ended and winter games and events, on artificial greens, will be organised by individual clubs.
Currently Ngunguru play Monday, Kamo play Tuesdays, Maungaturoto play Wednesday, Hikurangi play Thursdays and weekends, One Tree Point play Friday and Onerahi play Sundays.
