Farmers in the Tangiteroria area west of Whangarei are facing their traditional clean-up after heavy rain caused the Northern Wairoa river to overflow.
This photo, taken by Myles Durrant from a fixed wing plane, shows the river creeping close to the former Tangiteroria Pub, which is now a private residence.
State Highway 14 is visible directly below and adjacent to the old pub, and has remained open throughout heavy rain and flooding this week.
