Northland artists ready for One Tree Point exhibition

People flocked to last year's One Tree Point Art & Craft Working Exhibition.

Northland artists will come together again this year for the One Tree Point Art & Craft Working Exhibition.

The popular exhibition has become an annual event after the success it achieved when first held in 2016.

Colin Coutts is the mastermind behind the collection of talented artists attending the exhibition.

He said it was a great opportunity to bring Northland artists together who wanted to share their craft and meet like-minded people with the same passion.

This year, the presentation of Northland art will be exhibited in a marquee donated by Hopper Construction.

"The marquee is a huge space to fill and fill it we will. The exhibition will be colourful and vibrant," he said.

Painters, sculptors, jewellers, potters, woodturners, weavers, photographers and textile artists will all be part of the 2018 exhibition and keen to "share their knowledge and passion".

Costumes from last year's Art 'n Tartan Exhibition will also be on display and food will be available for sale.

The exhibition will be held in the large marquee at Marsden Cove Marina, on January 27-28, over the Auckland Anniversary weekend from 10am to 4pm each day.

Entrance into the exhibition is a gold coin.
