WGHS 10-1 goal attack Carly Job makes a leap for the ball.

WGHS 10-1 goal attack Carly Job makes a leap for the ball.

In the fifth and final week of the premier reserve championship round Hora Hora 1 suffered their first loss, albeit by just one goal.

Hora Hora 1 had a slim lead of one goal at the end of the first quarter but by halftime Manawanui Development had taken the lead to be ahead by two.

Hora Hora 1 then crept back to be within shot of a win before the final whistle, however they fell just shy, the final score 40-39 to Manawanui.

For Manawanui, Briahn Ruri at centre helped the game flow through the midcourt and she shot well when moved to goal attack.

Kapua Harris Otene at goal defence worked tirelessly to disrupt the opposition shooters, while Tyme Rata at goal shoot worked well in the circle and shot consistently.
