"We take huge pride in putting on the red and white dress to represent our club and families who sacrifice so much for us to make trainings and games.
"The whole team played outstanding and all 11 contributed to our success this season.
"Bella Drinnan was a standout for us. She played with guts and tenacity and came up with some crucial turnovers in those final minutes which our shooters were able to convert."
Manawanui found themselves down early as Fideliter got the side out to a five goal lead. But Manawanui held strong to hunt their opposition down in the remaining three quarters.
Otene said it was a great spectacle.
"It was phenomenal game of netball from both teams," she said.
"We had to dig deep in that game and I think the difference was we converted the turn overs. The display of dedication and sportsmanship was a true reflection of the talent we have in our region.
"The biggest highlight of the game was the crowd and their support. They played a huge part in lifting the team and made it an exciting game of netball to watch."
Fideliter have to be commended as they battled the whole way but couldn't quite cap off what was a successful season.
For Manawanui though, Otene said the title was the ultimate goal.
"Winning has always been the goal for our team and our club," she said.
"This season was about believing in ourselves and proving we were a quality side who train hard for ourselves and for one another. Going back to back was a proud achievement for us.
"Our team and club culture has played a vital part in our success. We are strong believers that "loyalty will take you a long way" and it couldn't be more true for us and what we have accomplished."
