No pleas were taken when both appeared in court.

They allegedly broke into a house in Ruawai about 12.30am on Saturday wearing masks and punched a 49-year-old man who was asleep. Police allege they also held what was believed to be a gun to the man's head before taking a credit card, a cellphone, and a tablet computer.

Both men were located soon after the alleged incident after the complainant recognised the voice of one of his alleged attackers.
