Mangawhai fibre outage affecting more than 2000 residents

More than 2000 Mangawhai residents are without fibre after a high load brought down a cable this morning.

According to Northpower, crews are on-site assessing the situation, which has resulted in an outage to 2270 customers.

The service was interrupted about 5.30am.

At this stage, a restoration is expected about 5pm.

A small update on the website stated customers should log any faults with their retailers to assist if services weren’t restored after work was complete.

Northpower has been approached for comment.
